Brhad Vaisnava Tosani is a profound and detailed commentary on the Tenth Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, composed by Srila Sanatana Gosvami in Śaka 1476. This monumental work was written to elaborate upon the brief explanations of Sridhara Svami, correcting impersonal (brahmavada) interpretations and instead offering a deeply devotional (bhakti-centered) perspective in harmony with the teachings of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
 
Sanatana Gosvami’s exposition is revered not only for its scholarly depth but also for its devotional sweetness, presenting the pastimes of Lord Krishna with philosophical clarity and emotional richness. The commentary illuminates the divine narratives in ways that evoke both understanding and devotion.
 
Notably, Jiva Gosvami's Laghu Vaisnava Tosani is based on this work, and several sections are identical. In this edition, such sections are marked as “same” to help readers identify the overlaps and appreciate the unique contributions of both Gosvamis.
