हजारों वर्षों से भक्तजन विशेषकर कार्तिक मास में श्री दामोदराष्टकम का गान करते आए हैं। आठ श्लोकों का यह दिव्य स्तोत्र श्री सत्यव्रत मुनि के श्री दामोदर के प्रति प्रगाढ़ प्रेम की पराकाष्ठा को प्रकट करता है। इसमें वे प्रार्थना करते हैं—
 
Sri Damodarastakam is a deeply revered eight-verse prayer glorifying Sri Damodara, the beloved child form of Lord Sri Krishna. Traditionally recited throughout the sacred month of Kartika, this beautiful prayer expresses the intimate mood of devotion surrounding Krishna's Damodara-lila, in which Mother Yasoda lovingly binds Krishna with a rope.
 
This edition presents the original Sri Damodarastakam, spoken by Sri Satyavrata Muni and preserved by Sri Krishna Dvaipayana Vedavyasa, together with illuminating commentaries that help devotees understand the deeper devotional meanings contained within these eight verses.
