About the Author
Dhruva Gorrick grew up far from an ordinary childhood. Raised in Ashrams across India and America, he was immersed in the teachings of Sanātan Dharma from a young age. It was there that he first developed a deep, personal connection with Lord Narasimha—the God of Yoga and Divine Protector—through regular seva (service) to His deity form.
Captivated by Narasimha’s protective compassion, much like Prahlāda Mahārāja of ancient times, Dhruva carried this devotion into his youth. At the age of sixteen, he embarked on his first pilgrimage to Ahobilam, the sacred site where Lord Narasimha is said to have manifested on earth. This journey ignited a lifelong quest: to seek out and document the forgotten and hidden temples of Narasimha across India.
Over the past 28 years, Dhruva has traversed jungles, mountains, and deserts, uncovering nearly 1,500 temples dedicated to this most mysterious and awe-inspiring Lord. Along the way, he encountered extraordinary saints and yogis whose guidance strengthened his mission.
His dedication has resulted in the monumental project Narasimha: The Lost Temples—the first volume of a planned trilogy that preserves and shares this sacred legacy. He is now working on the second volume, Narasimha: The God of Yoga, which explores how the very roots of yoga itself originate from the Lord’s divine manifestation.
