About the Author
Swami B.G. Narasingha was born in 1946 in the USA and grew up in California, Florida, and Hawaii. He met His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1967 and became his direct disciple in 1970. In 1976, he accepted the sannyasa order from Srila Prabhupada and travelled extensively in India.
 
Between 1986 and 1999, Swami Narasingha also studied under his siksha gurus, Swami B.R. Sridhara Maharaja and Swami B.P. Puri Maharaja. In 1994, he established Sri Narasingha Chaitanya Ashrama, also known as Govindaji Gardens, and the Kaliya-mardana Krsna Ashrama in South India, where he taught students and followers about bhakti-yoga and Gaudiya Vaishnava philosophy.
 
Swami Narasingha contributed articles to spiritual journals including Clarion Call, Gaudiya Vedanta, Gaudiya Touchstone, and Krsna Talk. His other books include Vaishnava India, Kumbha Mela, Evolution of Theism, The Authorized Sri Chaitanya-Saraswata Parampara, Sri Damodara-katha, and Sri Gayatri Mantrartha Dipika, among others.
