Memories of Vrndavana — Srila Prabhupada's Sri Sri Krishna-Balarama Temple

Sri Sri Krishna-Balarama Mandir was inaugurated in the holy town of Vrindavan on Rama-navami, 20 April 1975, established directly by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. In the decades since, countless disciples and followers have rendered service there — building it, maintaining it, and carrying forward the standards Srila Prabhupada personally set.

Through interviews, personal memoirs, and transcribed lectures, devotees who worked alongside Srila Prabhupada in Vrindavan describe what the effort actually involved: the practical struggles of construction in Raman Reti, the instructions they received, the standards of worship that were established, and the moods and moments that shaped the temple into what visitors see today.

Many of the key personalities who helped establish the temple have already left this world, and the publishers undertook this project specifically to preserve these testimonies while those who held them were still present to share them. Sri Rama-navami 2015 marked the temple's 40th anniversary, and this volume was presented as an offering on that occasion — with the hope that these memories will inspire and guide others in their own service to Srila Prabhupada.
