Radha Rasa Sudha Nidhi : by Srila Prabodananda Sarasvati Thakura

 
This book written by Srila Prabhodananda Sarasvati in the 14th century illuminates the process of bhajana by which one can be engaged in the loving service of Radha-rasa-sudha-nidhi. He showed the glories of the Vrajavasis' love, how to ever increase one's own loving attraction, and described how without the shelter of the lotus feet of Srimati Radharani, one can never attain the perfection of pure love in Vraja. When Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu traveled to the auspiious land of Sri Rang-Ksetra in south India He met with Srila Prabhodananda Sarasvati. At first, some devotees in Rang-ksetra felt discomfort hearing anything that showed Vraja and Radha-Krsna to be superior to Vaikuntha and Laksmi-Narayana. But gradually, hearing from Mahaprabhu about the glories of Srimati Radhika and the Vraja-devis, transformed their hearts and awakened greed for vraja-bhakti in their hearts. Mahaprabhu thus showered the bhaktas there with radha-rasa. For Radha-Krsna's pleasure, Tungavidya-sakhi appeared in Sri Rang-ksetra as Srila Prabhodananda Sarasvatipada. Mahaprabhu met him there and instructed him to come to Vraja and further manifest the glories and specialty of radha-rasa and vraja-bhakti. Srila Prabhodananda Sarasvatipada decribed the specialty and glory of the embodiment of divine love and bliss. Srimati Radha Thakurani, and he showed the process to receive Her shelter. We always remember and pray to Srila Prabhodananda Sarasvatipada, who manifested 'Sri Sri Radha-rasa sudha-nidhi', wherein he revealed the magnificent nature of the vraja-gopis' pure love and prema-seva to Sri Krsna. Prabhodananda Sarasvatipada relished the purest nectar of transcendental rasa and becoming maddened in this divine love, he spread its glories and the process to achieve it
